This weekend was THE weekend in St-Odilon, the small village of about 1,000 people where I live and work. We celebrated our 125 years since St-Odilon Cranbourne was founded in 1883.
Hard to believe that between Quebec and here there is so much difference! But when some hiking enthusiasts have told me in horses is 26 km in 5 hours to get to our festivities, understandably oddly better ... It was quite an adventure to go away on horseback!
The weekend was so busy with a dinner theater with that homegrown artists, a parade of floats, a show by Karma Kameleon, a reunion dinner and good quality time with family and friends!
Here are photos of the parade. Mother Nature has been in the game, it was a great success and great, and small, have worshiped.
The parade starts with a fanfare of bagpipes, to remind the Irelands origins of St. Odilon Cranbourne. It was quite a beginning, a beautiful sound that those bagpipes! Remember that my marriage as we have a piper at the church surprised that I did to my husband.
Old tractors, antique cars, horses and carriages, floats and entertainers public will then succeeded! It was a parade of about one hour we will remember for a long time (my poor shoulders too because I got quite a sunburn ...)
Our little gang outside the residence of my parents installed watch the parade:
And here my grandfather with his superhero preferred. You have to admit, Spiderman person had moved specifically to participate in this parade!
We really had a great weekend ... good memories to keep in mind! And I hope to be at the rendezvous in 2033 for the 150th!
